Publication of the synthesis about the Governance of Metropolitan Transport
Today, the VREF release a synthesis by Måns Lönnroth about the Governance of Metropolitan Transport. The synthesis is based on five papers to be released within short together with this publication.
This essay is an attempt to develop concepts for understanding governance of metropolitan transport in countries that are, or aspire to be, modern and democratic, with professional public administrations and the rule of law.
The aim is to provide the VREF with an initial understanding of WHY metropolitan transport systems are shaped as they are, and HOW they could be improved, in line with the foundations' newly emerged thematic initiative on governance of metropolitan transport...
The VREF invites PhD students and researchers in early stages of their career to apply for a Study Visit Grant to be supported with up to SEK 30 000.
